Plaid Shirt Dresses

I'm really loving all the cute plaid shirt dresses coming out.
I can see my fall weekend wardrobe consisting of plaid dresses, tights and boots.
Love this one belted, but I would like it better with some cute boots.
ditto for this one.

D&G... needs to be seriously shortened, but I love it!

Getting ready for Vacation...

CD & I rented a little beach house, so we will be headed out on Saturday until Labor Day. I heard a hurricane may hit the Cape. Excellent. Can't wait. Nice that it has been hot and sunny everyday while I am in the office! Anyway, I am just excited to get out of Boston for a bit and breathe the fresh ocean air.

Facebook: Funny Posts.

So Lori (birthday girl below) sends me an email "oh…btw, check out a f-ing post that Billy V-------- put on my facebook…embarrassing is an understatement…I’m friends with people I work with…omg…"

Background: Lori & I have been in the same school/friends since the 2nd grade, but I have no clue who this guy is but, apparently she does.

He posted this... he even spelled our school wrong. She doesnt even think this is right, which makes it even more hysterical.

Poor guy... I wonder if he even realizes that he posted this on her Wall?

Rachel Zoe Project

The good stuff is finally coming back on - which means summer is coming to an end and all the shows are coming back on.
I was pretty surprised and psyched that when flipping through the channels I saw that the RZP was back on. I love it, not because of just her, but because I love Brad & Taylor. I love that Taylor is a bitch. I love that Brad is such a kiss ass and so adorable at being one. I think this season seems like it is going to be more entertaining this time around.

Takeaways:
Rachel is looking much better. Her hair looked good. Her face seemed fuller.
Rachel's husband - he needs a hair cut. Not sure why all my focus is on the hair??
Secretly, I want to be Taylor (not so secret anymore). I love her messy rocker hair. Again? Also, was that a Chanel tweed coat she was wearing when shopping for shoes?
Jordan, the new girl, seems a bit of a bore. She has a hell of a body on her - As I was lifting my wine glass, I thought maybe I should be lifting those dusty dumbbells under the couch. Also, I would trade places with her in a sec to try on those dresses.
I wanted everything at Van Cleef.
The pink Chanel dress on Cameron was amazing. I forgot how much I really liked what she wore to the Golden Globes.
The one major thing I love about the show is watching how everything comes together behind the scenes. It would be cool if they could loop in more celebs while they are getting ready.

Oh, and did anyone see the Fame movie commercial? Can't wait for that!

Confession

I have a little confession. I am addicted to the Scrabble application on my iPhone. I played it for two hours yesterday morning and the entire time I was getting my hair highlighted on Saturday. I am obsessed because I can't beat the computer. Now, I am in competitive mode and need to beat this evil computer person (I think it is making up words... ).
This is how I know I am addicted.
Yesterday evening CD and I were leaving for the concert (which was amazing btw) and he asked if I could bring a pen and paper, so that we could make a list of items that we need prior to our beach house rental. I told him there is no way I could write a list in the car without getting car sick. He was fine with that. As we were cruising down 95, he looks over and is like what are you doing? As I was already caught, I replied, "playing scrabble?" The funny thing is that I was actually a little car sick, but wouldn't stop playing. Seriously, what the heck has gotten into me? I don't usually like games.

Kourtney Kardashian

I think I kind of love to hate them, but now I think I am officially over them, well at least Kourtney. Everyday, there is a new article about Kourtney's pregnancy. She is doing a fabulous job at making sure her name is staying out there. Lets take a look see at her articles on People magazine in the last week. I am trying to make myself not click, but its hard when every story is about this pregnancy or that Le'Ann & Eddie (via his estranged wife) hook-up. YAWN. Silver Lining? At least it took that Ed Hardy wearing looser off the radar (along with the two other nitwits) for a bit.

Beautiful Sunday + Bruce = Awesome Sunday night

This is the best way to beat the Sunday blues. I am headed to see Bruce Springsteen tonight. I have seen him a few times and he still puts on one of the best shows I have ever seen.

CBK

Last night, I was browing about Lucky Magazine (on-line). They currently have this little post up about the top sexiest style icons (linked in case you want to take a look). I agree with most of them because they are obviously the best and easiest choices. I started thinking about what person or celebrity style has influenced me the most (I tend wear a lot of black and prefer preppy over sexy). It always comes down to one person, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. I loved her hair, clothes and overall attitude.

What style icons from the list (or not) influence you?

Do you need a little funny today?

I know this is ancient, but it still makes me laugh. If you have never seen it, just wait. You are going to die.

Sienna... I think she is back.

love this, for some reason.

I used to adore Sienna Miller, but then she kind of got on my nerves for awhile. Not sure if it was the whole Balthazar thing (he seemed like such a tool) etc... but lately I am digging her again. What do you all think? She has been so looking awesome while doing press for GI Joe.

CountryFest...

I am headed to CountryFest tomorrow afternoon. It is going to be 89 degrees out (and in Boston that usually means hot & very humid). So, needless to say, I am having outfit issues. At first, I was thinking that I would do cut offs, wife beater, tank, boots and maybe a cowboy hat... but then I was like no way. You know how many cheese ball girls (and older women) are going to be all country slutted out. I will pass. I think I will go comfortable and classic...sundress and flips (or just maybe these little frye boots).

On a related topic, but kinda not, I have a random story about Kenny (and Renee). Remember a few years ago when they got married in St John? I was there. No, I wasn't invited. I wish...
Anyway, this guy that I was dating at the time and I were on vacation and people were telling us how they were on the island. Me, who thinks I know every bit of gossip was floored. What are they doing here? Why? The next day we were taking a pic on our way home from the beach overlooking this beautiful beach and there was a small wedding taking place behind us. Yep. It was them, but we had no clue... I have a pic (you can barely see them.. they look like dots. I need to find it and post it up.), but when we were at dinner that night, everyone was saying how they got married on the beach we took a pic at. So anyway, a couple of days go by and we were getting ready to leave. So was Kenny's family. We were all sitting in the airport together (airport is teeny in St Thomas). I was reading my Elle upside down cause I was completely engrossed in the conversation Kenny's mother was having with him about how People, US, InTouch etc magazine keeps on calling her and keeps calling their home in Nashville. I can't stop listening. His sister notices and laughs... So the sister gets on the phone and was like "I told him she wore Carolina Herrera." I died. The guy I was with didn't get, but Kenny's sister knew she made me day. She winked. My response, "I knew it."

Have a wonderful weekend.

Yappy Hour

The Liberty Hotel is hosting 'Yappy Hour' from 5-7 every Wednesday during the summer. I have been putting off going because the weather has been horrendous (read: I am waiting for Ruby to be more well mannered), but we are finally going on Wednesday night. It should be interesting. I will take pics and post after. Note to self, I should probably turn on her tracking device before we go.

I don't plan on doing this anytime soon, so I have no reason to look... but I really do love the weddding dresses in JCrew.
These were my two favorites.
I would totally chop this one up to a mini.

Love the pockets... Think of all the stuff you could hide in there. You could also drink a ton of champgane and no one could tell (unless, you fell down or something).

Giuliana & Bill

Quick revisit on last nights show. I didn't love it.

I will definitely keep it on the DVR rotation, but I am not obsessed with it. She irks me, but I do find him to be pretty hot. Ahh - Mid-West Boys. That brownstone is awesome. I want that bathroom, kitchen and patio. I loved her bright blue Hermes scarf and now I want one too (CD actually gave me the oh no look when she had it on. Yes, he watched it with me too).
I think, maybe, if she stopped calling Bill "Rancic" every five minutes I could tolerate it.
What did you think?

I am going to watch. Are you?

Another hour killed for me.
I wish these shows would stop coming out, so I could do more thoughtful things with my life!

Time for your close up... Rubylicious

Ruby made the news. Could she be any cuter? She looks so well behaved, but in reality she was trying to eat the camera.

Ruby, a Boston terrier, English bulldog mix, rests on the floor of the Polka Dog Bakery in Boston, Mass., while her owner Kelly Henderson, shops for treat and toys. 'Every Saturday we come here. It's our weekend ritual to stock up on treats for the week,' Henderson said.
