Over the weekend, it was basically all about the beach. Getting it in while we can, I guess. Saturday, we went to Good Harbor in Gloucester and found out there was no parking - not a big surprise since it was so beautiful out. Ended up at Long Beach next door which was so extremely packed. It was kind of annoying, but tried to make the best of it with a long walk and some good snacks.
I kept on waiting for a weekend surprise that never came... Jay-Z and Justin at Fenway. I thought tickets would magically fall into my lap... Even joked with BF on the way home -- "Oh, do we need to leave the beach now to make it to Fenway in time?" No dice... So very jealous of all those who got to go. Heard it was an amazing show.
Sunday, more beach time with my bff for over 30 years (how can that be possible?). We made some good bday mimosas w/ Veuve (needed a good champs to celebrate with) and headed out for sun in the fun times. I feel very fortunate to have her in my life. She is such a good person and I am not sure how I knew at 5 to pick her as a bff. Maybe it was her blonde boy cut, which I had the same one. Maybe it was the paste she had and shared with me. Who knows, but at 5 I had great taste in friends and we are still friends to this day.
Sunday, evening went to 75 on Liberty Wharf with the bf for a marg and some dinner. I have wanted to go for some time, and after debating a few different places we ended up there (mainly because bar seats were open). The Sunrise Margarita and the view were awesome, but I was a little disappointed in the food. It was pretty boring and plain, but not bad. I guess I expected more... All in all it was fine, but not sure I would go back for dinner.
