I have seen a lot of Dorothy Hamill lately because of the Olympics. It has been bringing back bad memories of when my mom took my long blonde locks and chopped them into the Dorothy style wedge. If you are a child of the 80s, you must have had this too. I recall, my friend Lori and I having the exact same wedge (bowl) haircuts in the 1st or 2nd grade. I also recall that this is why I had to get my ears pierced... "Your little boy is so cute."

Eeeek I also had a bowl cut in 2nd grade! Not sure wtf we were thinking back then! My Mom was a hair dresser in the 80s so you can only imagine the horror I had to endure with perms and things.

i didn't have that haircut, thankfully!
my mom made me get my hair permed at least twice a year though :( i hated it! such a long process and i always looked like a poodle.
I was a 90's child, but My first grade "boy" hair cut was WAY worse!!! haha
