Why?
It takes a lot of motivation for me to get to the gym. I am not one of those people that love to go, but I need to go to destress, work off the burrito I ate at lunch and catch up on my iTunes & US Weekly. I don't want to chat. I don't want to make small talk. I don't want you to come up and ruin my workout.
Tuesday, I went to the gym and there is this guy who always waves says hi whenever I see him. I politely acknowledge him and move on. Tuesday, while on the elliptical, he comes over when I can barely talk and introduces himself. He is nice enough, but again, I don't really want to chit chat. He proceeds to tell me where he lives, works, has an older daughter, doesn't know how to text, that he likes the gym, that he worked on his tri's, how long he has been a member, his summer plans, he likes the music the gym plays etc.
I couldn't get away.
Thursday, back on elliptical and he comes over and says hi. I smile politely again and say hi back. Ear buds back in. He keeps on talking. I can't get him to leave. I feel bad for being semi-rude, but dude, this is my time -- back off. Finally, leaves cause now he has to work on bi's. Cut to 10 mins later... he is on the elliptical right next to me. Bumps my arm to talk and I don't respond cause I am totally engrossed in my mag, but really I am just pretending I don't notice him and I didn't just feel him touch me (wtf. hands to yourself). I finally am done and try to take off. Mr. Gym Guy starts waving right in front of my face.
Conversation is as follows.
MGG: Have a good night. You done?
Me: Yep - see ya.
MGG: Wait, what is your name again?
Me: Kelly. Ok see ya later
MGG: Do you remember mine?
Me: Dave (I really have no clue and I guess out loud, which engaged him).
MGG: Nope. Guess again.
Me: Sorry, I don't remember.
MGG: Starts with a M
Me: Mark?
MGG: No! Guess again
Me: Mike?
MGG: Yes! you remembered.
Me: ????
I don't want to be rude, but people like this annoy me. I wish people would get a clue. Now, today, I would like to go again, but dont want another run it. Thoughts on what to say that would get him away without being blantely mean?

Jessica Simpson
First, I would like to say that I am not fan of Jessica Simpson (especially when she sings live). She irritates me to no end, but the girl is beautiful. I just saw this add for her new fragrance Fancy Love. It does remind me a lot of her Public Affair album cover...the glowy soft lighting.
Love her hair in the above pic... makes me want to chop mine.

Happy Monday.
Hope everyone had a fab weekend. Mine was pretty darn good. The girls and I went out for pizza in the North End to Pizzeria Regina and waited for an hour in line. It actually wasn't that bad since we can keep each other entertained and laughing. Main topic of dinner conversations.
1) Bad bikini waxes: "It looked like hard candy." & "Handlebar moustache anyone?"
2) Memo getting the money shot. "Is that cheese?"
3) Our waitress. She was classic.
On Sunday, it was B4 beach day. I got lost getting to Yirrell, but for a 15 min commute that took an hour, it was well worth it. I finally got a bit of my tan back. Not bad for being the end of the July.
In other big news, I start cohabiting with CD today. We will see how this goes. I wasn't able to give up much (any) closet space, so I think things are going to be a bit cramped until we figure this out. There are a couple of other things I am worried about, but all in all, looking forward to it. It will be weird for me to go home and for him to be there (actually, he will probably be working still), but still strange thinking that he will be in my space more than I am used to it. After years of being single and independent... I have become pretty set in my ways and like a lot of personal space. Tips on making it work?

Laugh of the Day
I think this is so cute. BTW, I love how some of the girls are wearing plastic hoop earrings (I so love the 80s). This must have been an awesome wedding! I wish I was invited. Have a great weekend everyone!

Could she not come up with something more creative?
Can you say Publicity Stunt? I think Mischa is trying to pull a Britney Spears and revive her career. Lets see, she did it with her weight first, posting all over that there was no reason to be concerned. Was anyone concerned? I guess I missed that part. That didn't work well, so lets try ambulance ride and medical hold for psychiatric evaluation with constant updates in the news from her sources.

Random Thought of the Day: Monday

pics from Google Images.

First, I am not sure why I thought of this, but if Valerie Bertnelli was to have anyone play her in a movie, I think Audrina Patridge should do it. I think they look so much alike or maybe they could a Lifetime movie as mother and daughter. Yes, a very random thought. I know.

I did a little retail therapy on may home from work last night. Got a couple of basics, huge sale at Jcrew, so I bought 5 tees, pair of jeans and pencil skirt (actually, that was from BR). All in I spent less than $250. Not sure how I did that, but I don't feel so guilty about this morning. Recently, I have been into long racer back tanks, but I didn't have much luck with those. Anyone know who has some for sale now?

Bravo
Bravo is becoming the most kick-ass way to kill a night. I had a me date last night. Me, DVR and some Pinot. I had two episodes of NYC Prep & Miami Social Anyway, I love both. I didn't want to like it, but I can't help it -- Yes, I am addicted to reality TV.
Things I loved.
NYC Prep:
The hair flips on Sebastian . Could someone teach him to tweeze those brows? It's distracting.
That Jenny from Gossip Girl was at the high school concert at the Tank and the guys pretended not to know who she was. Right.
The tights that the two dark hair girls wore at the dinner party. They were like bandage black tights. I need to find those for fall.
That PC said he couldn't talk to the girls in Cancun... "Cause they were from Texas." Hmm, I think that there are more reasons than that.
Miami Social:
Ok - it is by far my favorite city in the US, so I was just thinking the whole time how I want to move there and how I am going to make it happen.
Katrina (is that Katrina from Apprentice) is in full makeup & hair everyday. Amazing.
That George gave his Russian girlfriend shit cause she went jogging after she drank wine. Is that a problem?
I love that the Russian girlfriend ended up in St. Barth's, not in NYC, got busted and still called for a ride home from the airport. Could happen to anyone.
That George has a nervous tick. Squinting/scrunching face. It makes me nervous watching him.
Is anyone else watching this crap or is it just me?

Words I Do NOT Like
Lil Laur and I started a game 3 years ago or so at work. It's words people use that we don't like. Since she has left me here with no one to play with, I thought I would share and maybe add a few more that give me that certain cringe factor.
*damp
*moist
*hubby (only when peeps use it over and over on their FB status to tell you what they are doing tonight. Come up with something clever, like hubs, husband, honey, sweetie or I don't know... their name).
*yumm-0 (or any of the other Rachel Ray sayings).
*panties
Hmm. Not a very well thought out post, but felt like adding something today. What am I missing? I know there are more. Oh, Tiff, VAGINA. Your favorite.

Awkward Elevator Chat
I had this very weird conversation with a co-worker yesterday. I was at a loss for words. Almost like the time a former co-worker asked me if I was allergic to color at a holiday party, "cause you always wear black." Hmmph.
Anyway, I was getting on the elevator and my co-worker looked quizzically at my Gucci tote and decided to try and chit chat about it.
CW: Where is your LV? Did you leave it home?
Me: Yea, I didn't feel like bringing it today.
CW: You have more than one LV bag?
Me: Yea, but this isn't LV (not sure why I am even trying to explain at this point).
CW: Well, don't you think that is gluttonous of you? Most girls would be happy to have one LV bag.
Me: (blank stare, followed by awkward silence).
Sometimes people should not talk. So weird.
Anyway, Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Red Sox vs Oakland

With my bestie NMint. CD really has good seats, so we are always willing to take them off of his hands when he is "too busy" to go.
This is the first game that I have been to this season where you didn't need a coat, sweater, scarf, hat, gloves or umbrella. Sadly, the Sox lost, but it was a fun night.

What do your eyes say about you?
I have green.... This is what the article said (click here):
Green eyes say that you are sexy, mysterious, and feisty. Green eyes are very rare and instantly hypnotize anyone who gazes into them. People look at green eyed individuals as untrustworthy and sly. Green eyes are classified as a feline feature. Felines are sleek, sexy, and sneaky. Green eyes are definitely the sexiest of all eye colors. Every eye color typically has just a hint of green mixed in with their main eye color, but having green eyes is extra special.
Umm, maybe feisty... but sexy, mysterious, sly... not so sure about that.
What about you all?

Ruby Is Going to Get SAG Card Soon.
Not only was she so accommodating to let me try and figure out how to take a video with my camera...she did a few tricks. Please excuse my awful garden. On Sunday, we went to the Polka Dog Bakery and a reporter asked if she could use my dog in an article she was writing about dog boutiques flourishing in this economic environment. She asked if I would be willing to take pics too, but I was like umm no way. I will save the modeling for the pros.
Hope everyone had a fantastic 4th. Guess what? It stopped raining here finally and it is over 65 degrees. Hopefully, summer is in full force now!

Ruby Story of the Week

How can this cute little girl cause so much drama in the morning?
Well, lets see. On Monday morning, she decided all she wanted to do was bark cause she hates when I shut the bedroom door on her when I am getting ready for work. The door has to be shut because she tends to try and hide and go #2 under my bed and my bed weighs almost 500lbs and I cant move it myself. Anyway, I went out to grab her and put her in the bathroom with me and as I was shutting the bathroom door she tried to take off and go under my bed. I went to grab her (on the wet slippery floor) and then smack (I definetly saw stars). I nailed the wall with my forehead. Huge lump. Got to work and people asked me to go to the Dr. Dr. had to do all sorts of tests. So embarrassing. Nothing was wrong with me, except for the fact I have a cartoon size lump on my forehead. Thank God I have bangs!!
